The Magic Pool Adventure

Lily, Ben, and Mia were best friends who loved summer. Every Saturday, they met at the community pool for swimming lessons. But this Saturday was different—the pool shimmered with an unusual golden glow.

"What's happening?" Ben asked, running to the edge with his towel flying behind him.

Lily pulled out her iPhone to take a picture. "The water looks...sparkly! Like magic dust!"

Suddenly, a friendly figure emerged from the water. It was a zombie—but not a scary one! This zombie had bright green skin, a flower behind his ear, and the biggest smile ever.

"Hello!" the zombie said. "I'm Zippy! I live in the magic waters beneath this pool. I've been waiting for friends like you!"

Mia laughed. "You're the friendliest zombie I've ever seen!"

Zippy explained that he was the guardian of imagination. "The world is forgetting how to dream big," he said sadly. "Will you help me bring wonder back?"

The three friends nodded eagerly. They spent the afternoon teaching Zippy about their world. They showed him photos on the iPhone and explained how people communicated and shared stories.

Then Zippy had an idea. "Let's play padel!" he suggested. "I've watched people play from underwater. It looks fun!"

None of them knew how to play, but that didn't matter. Zippy waved his hand, and magical rackets appeared. The ball glowed with rainbow colors as they hit it back and forth, laughing as Zippy sometimes forgot which way to run.

As the sun began to set, Zippy gathered them close. "Thank you for showing me friendship," he said. "You've reminded me that the best magic isn't in spells—it's in believing in each other."

He pressed a small shimmering stone into each of their hands. "These will help you remember: imagination lives wherever friends share adventures."

The next morning, Lily, Ben, and Mia returned to the pool. It looked ordinary again, but each of them clutched a glowing stone. They looked at each other and smiled—knowing that magic, friendship, and imagination would always be real, as long as they believed.

And sometimes, if you look closely at the pool on golden summer afternoons, you might still see Zippy waving from beneath the water, waiting for the next adventure.
