The Magic Pond's Golden Game
Lily always walked past the old pond behind her house, but today something shimmered in the water. She knelt down and saw the most beautiful goldfish she had ever seen, with scales like tiny diamonds.
"Hello," Lily whispered, dipping her fingers in the cool water.
The goldfish swam closer. "Hello, Lily! I've been waiting for you. I'm Finn!"
Lily gasped. "You can talk!"
"Magic pond, magical things!" Finn bubbled happily. "Want to be friends?"
"Yes!" Lily clapped her hands.
Finn flipped his tail and a tiny racquet appeared beside him. "Let's play padel! I bet I can beat you!"
"But you're a fish!" Lily giggled.
"Watch this!" Finn bounced a ball on his nose and hit it with the racquet. The ball sailed through the air and Lily ran to hit it back. They played the most magical game of padel ever, with Finn floating just above the water and Lily dancing on the grass.
When they grew tired, Finn said, "Close your eyes, Lily. I have something special for you."
Lily felt something soft press against her palm. When she opened her eyes, she saw a glowing orange tablet. "What is it?"
"A vitamin of courage," Finn explained. "One sip of water with this, and you'll never be afraid to try new things or make new friends."
Lily took the vitamin and dissolved it in the pond water. She took a tiny sip. Warmth spread through her chest, like sunshine.
"Thank you, Finn!" she hugged her new friend. "Will you always be here?"
"Always," Finn promised. "And remember, the best vitamin for happiness is having a friend who believes in you."
From that day on, Lily was never afraid to try new things. And every afternoon, she would visit Finn for another magical game of padel by the pond.
