The Magic Papaya Pyramid

Lily discovered something extraordinary in her grandmother's garden. Behind the orange blossoms stood a tiny pyramid made of papaya slices, glistening in the morning sun.

"Grandma!" she called. "There's a pyramid in your garden!"

Her grandmother smiled mysteriously. "That's the Magic Pyramid, dear. It appears when someone needs a special vitamin for their heart."

Lily's eyes widened. "Heart vitamin?"

"Not the kind you swallow," Grandma whispered. "The kindness vitamin. The adventure vitamin. The courage vitamin."

Suddenly, Lily's iphone, which she'd left on the garden bench, began to glow rainbow colors. Music floated from it—ancient, happy music. The papaya pyramid started spinning.

"Step inside," Grandma urged gently.

Lily's heart thumped as she approached the pyramid. But when she stepped through, she didn't hit papaya. She tumbled into a world where orange rivers flowed through valleys of crystal pyramids. Tiny papaya people danced under twin suns.

"Welcome!" cried a papaya girl named Pippa. "We need your help! Our kindness vitamin has disappeared!"

Lily's iphone transformed into a golden compass. "It points to kindness," she realized.

Following her compass, Lily and Pippa climbed the tallest crystal pyramid. At the peak sat a grumpy stone goblin clutching a glowing vial.

"I stole your kindness vitamin!" the goblin announced. "No one shared with me, so why should I share?"

Lily thought of her iphone, full of games and apps she'd never shared with lonely kids at school. She sat beside the goblin. "I'm sorry you felt left out. Everyone deserves friends."

She handed him her iphone. "You can play my games. I have lots."

The goblin's stony face softened. He returned the vitamin. "Nobody... nobody ever shared with me before."

The kindness vitamin bloomed into golden sparkles, showering everyone. The papaya world glowed warmer, brighter.

When Lily tumbled back through the pyramid, her iphone was in her hand—still glowing rainbow colors.

"Did you learn something?" Grandma asked.

Lily hugged her tight. "The best vitamin is sharing. And the best adventure is making new friends."

That night, Lily called three classmates. "Want to play iphone games together?"

The little papaya pyramid in the garden shimmered, satisfied.
