The Magic Orange Mystery
Lily was picking oranges from her grandmother's tree when she noticed something strange. One orange was glowing! It shimmered like a tiny sunset in her hands.
"Sam! You have to see this!" she called to her best friend, who was swinging on the porch nearby.
Sam ran over, his eyes widening. "That's not just an orange. That's MAGIC!"
That night, they decided to spy on the orange through Lily's window. At midnight, the orange rolled off the table and opened like a secret door. Out tumbled tiny glowing creatures! They were vitamin fairies, no bigger than Lily's thumb, sprinkling sparkly dust everywhere.
"We need help!" cried the smallest fairy. "Our tree is sick!"
Lily gasped. "Your tree?"
"Yes! The magic orange tree in the Enchanted Garden gives us all the vitamin power we need to stay glowing. But something's wrong!"
The friends knew what they had to do. The orange transformed into a magical map that showed the way to a hidden garden behind Lily's house. They tiptoed past sleeping fireflies and climbed over mushroom bridges until they found the tree.
Its leaves were drooping, and its oranges had lost their glow.
"I know what it needs!" Sam remembered something his mother had told him. "Love and friendship make things grow!"
Together, Lily and Sam hugged the tree and told it how much they loved its magic oranges. They sang songs and shared their favorite memories of eating sweet oranges together.
Suddenly, the tree began to glow brighter than ever! New oranges burst forth, each one filled with extra vitamin magic.
"Thank you!" the fairies cheered. "You saved us!"
The head fairy gave them a special gift: a tiny orange seed. "Plant this, and you'll always have magic oranges. But remember — the real magic is in friendship and kindness, not just the fruit."
Lily and Sam planted the seed together. And every orange from that tree tasted sweeter because they shared the adventure — and their friendship — with each other.
