The Magic Orange and Fin

Lily was a lonely girl who spent her afternoons sitting by her fishbowl, watching her goldfish Fin swim in lazy circles. Fin was her best friend, even though he never talked back.

One rainy Tuesday, Lily was peeling an orange for snack time when something magical happened. A drop of orange juice fell into the fishbowl — and Fin began to glow!

The little goldfish swam right up to the glass and tapped it with his nose. Tap, tap, tap.

"Lily!" said a tiny voice. "I can finally talk!"

Lily almost dropped her orange. "Fin? You can talk?"

"Only when the magic orange touches my water," Fin explained. "I'm actually a prince from the Kingdom Under the Waves. I was turned into a goldfish by the jealous Sea Witch."

Lily's eyes grew wide. This was the most exciting thing that had ever happened to her!

"How can I help you?" she asked.

Fin spun in a happy circle. "The Sea Witch trapped my family in a coral cage. You must save them! But you'll need to see underwater to find the way."

Lily thought hard. Then she remembered her mom's old waterproof iPhone case!

She grabbed her iPhone and held it underwater. Through the screen, she could see a whole magical world — colorful coral castles, glowing jellyfish, and a dark cave where a cage shimmered.

"I can see them!" Lily cried. She followed the path on her iPhone screen, using the magic orange juice to mark her way. Past the ticklish anemones, through the school of gossiping angelfish, and right up to the Sea Witch's cave.

The witch was guarding the cage, but Lily had a plan. She held out her orange.

"Would you like a snack?" she asked sweetly.

The witch had never seen an orange before. Her curiosity got the better of her. As she reached for it, Lily squeezed — orange juice sprayed everywhere!

The witch shrieked and dissolved into bubbles. The cage swung open!

Fin's family swam out, and in a burst of sparkles, Fin turned back into a handsome prince.

"Thank you, my friend," Prince Fin said. "You saved us all."

Lily beamed. She had found a real friend, gone on an amazing adventure, and learned that even small acts of kindness — like sharing an orange — can break the biggest spells.

Now, whenever Lily feels lonely, she just peels an orange. And sometimes, when the light is just right, she can see Fin waving from the depths of his fishbowl, reminding her that magic is real, and friendship is the greatest magic of all.
