The Magic of Friendship Lake
Bruno was a bear who loved everything about summer—warm sunshine, buzzing bees, and sweet berries. But there was one thing Bruno didn't love: swimming. While other bears splashed and played in Rainbow Lake, Bruno stayed on the shore, his paws tucked safely under his fuzzy belly.
That all changed the day Benny arrived. Benny was a small dog with floppy ears and a tail that never stopped wagging. He had just moved into the cottage near the forest and loved exploring.
"Hey Bruno!" Benny called, racing across the beach. "Want to go swimming? The water's perfect!"
Bruno shook his big head. "No thanks. Bears like me don't swim. We might sink!"
Benny laughed. "That's silly! My grandmother told me about magic water vitamins in Rainbow Lake. They make you float like a feather!"
Bruno's eyes grew wide. "Magic vitamins? Really?"
"Really!" Benny promised. "But we have to find them together. They only appear for brave friends."
Hand in paw, they waded into the sparkling water. Bruno trembled at first, but Benny stayed right beside him, singing silly songs about brave adventurers and magical treasures.
"Look!" Bruno shouted, pointing at shimmering golden lights dancing beneath the surface. "Are those the magic vitamins?"
Benny grinned. "They might be! Let's dive for them!"
Together they plunged underwater. Bruno was amazed—he didn't sink at all! In fact, he floated beautifully, his heavy fur light as air. They played for hours, chasing the magical lights and racing each other across the lake.
When they finally climbed onto shore, exhausted but happy, Bruno noticed something. The "magic vitamins" were just sunlight reflecting off tiny fish.
"Benny," Bruno said slowly, "there weren't any magic vitamins, were there?"
Benny's tail wagged. "Maybe not. But you know what the real magic is?"
Bruno thought for a moment. "Friendship?"
"Exactly," said Benny. "Friendship is the best vitamin of all. It gives you courage when you're scared, makes you float when you think you'll sink, and turns scary adventures into wonderful memories."
Bruno hugged his new friend. "I'm glad I found this vitamin. It's better than berries!"
From that day on, Bruno was the first bear in Rainbow Lake, always ready for swimming adventures with his best friend Benny.
