The Magic Morning Vitamin
Lila was running through the meadow, her bare feet dancing on the soft morning grass. The sun was just waking up, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold. Beside her bounded Barnaby, her golden retriever, his ears flopping happily in the breeze.
Every morning, they raced to the old oak tree at the edge of the forest. It was their special game, their morning adventure. But today, something magical happened.
As Lila caught her breath against the rough bark, she noticed something twinkling in the tree's lowest branch. It wasn't a bird or a leaf—it was a tiny, glowing bottle no bigger than her thumb.
Barnaby sniffed at it curiously, his tail wagging softly. Inside the bottle swirled a liquid that changed color like a rainbow—first blue, then green, then purple.
A small voice whispered from the bottle: "I am the Morning Vitamin. One drop each day gives you the gift of seeing magic everywhere."
Lila's eyes grew wide. Magic? Real magic?
Carefully, she uncorked the bottle and let one drop fall on her tongue. It tasted like sunshine and strawberries mixed together.
Suddenly, the world transformed. She could see tiny fairies sleeping inside flowers, their wings shimmering like pearls. The trees were humming gentle songs, and Barnaby's fur sparkled with stardust.
But the best part was what she saw next. A sad little rabbit sat by the bushes, tears making tiny rivers down its furry cheeks.
"What's wrong?" Lila asked, kneeling down.
"I lost my family," the rabbit sniffled. "I was running too fast and couldn't find my way back."
Lila knew exactly what to do. With Barnaby's help and her new magic sight, they followed the rabbit's tiny footprints through the meadow, over the babbling brook, and right to a cozy burrow where Mama Rabbit and three babies were waiting.
The reunion was joyous. Mama Rabbit hugged her little one tight, and all the rabbits bounced around happily.
That night, Lila learned something important: the real magic wasn't in the bottle at all. It was in kindness, in helping others, and in the wonderful adventures you share with friends—furry or human.
And every morning after that, she still went running with Barnaby, because she didn't need a magic vitamin anymore. Her heart was already full of magic.
