The Magic Moonlight Pool

Lila and Tomas were best friends who loved summer evenings. Tonight, the moon was especially bright, glowing like a giant silver coin in the sky.

"Let's practice," said Lila, holding her padel racket. Her dad had taught her how to play, and she was getting good at hitting the ball just right.

Tomas nodded and grabbed his baseball mitt. "After we hit some baseballs, we can swim in your pool."

They played for hours under the stars. Lila's padel ball went *whoosh* against the backboard. Tomas's baseball sailed through the air like a shooting star.

Then something magical happened.

As Lila hit the padel ball toward the pool, it didn't splash. Instead, the water began to shimmer and glow. The pool water started rising, swirling in a spiral until it formed a perfect pyramid right in the backyard!

"Whoa!" whispered Tomas, his eyes wide.

Inside the water pyramid, they could see tiny magical creatures playing miniature games—fairy padel matches with sparkle balls, gnome baseball games with acorn bats. The water pyramid pulsed with blue light, and soft giggles floated out.

"We can see magic because we believe in it," said Lila, reaching out. The water pyramid felt warm and tingly.

A tiny water fairy flew out on a droplet. "Thank you for playing with joy," she chimed. "Children's happiness feeds our magic."

The fairy sprinkled dust on them, and for one magical moment, Lila and Tomas could float above the ground, light as bubbles.

"Will you come back?" asked Lila.

"Whenever moonlight shines on happy hearts," the fairy promised.

The water pyramid collapsed back into the pool with a gentle splash. The ripples formed the shape of a heart.

Lila and Tomas sat by the pool, toes in the water, watching the moon. They knew magic was real, and the best kind of magic came from friendship, play, and believing in impossible things.

"Next time," said Tomas, "let's play even more games."

Lila grinned. "The more fun we have, the more magic we'll find."

And they swam under the stars, already dreaming of their next adventure.
