The Magic in Your Pocket

Leo always felt left out. While other kids played at the park, he sat alone with his dad's old **iphone**, watching videos of adventures he'd never have.

One afternoon, something strange happened. The phone glowed with rainbow light! A tiny face appeared on screen—a sprite named **Padel**, no bigger than a thumb, with silver wings and a smile like sunshine.

"I'm the Spirit of Play!" Padel chimed. "You've forgotten how to have fun, Leo. Let me show you!"

Suddenly, Leo was **swimming** through an ocean made of cherry soda, where fish sang harmonies and turtles gave underwater rides. He laughed so hard that bubbles escaped his nose like tiny pearls.

Then—whoosh—he stood on a diamond made of marshmallows. A magical **baseball** game began! The ball was a comet, the bat a moonbeam. Leo hit a home run that painted stripes across the sky.

"Real adventure isn't on a screen," Padel whispered, fading slowly. "It's right outside your door."

The phone dimmed. Leo looked up. Children were playing at the park. One waved. "Want to join?"

Leo grinned—and discovered the best magic of all.

True joy comes when you put down the screen and step into the sunshine, for the greatest adventures happen with friends in the real world.
