The Magic in Mia's Palm

Mia sat on her grandmother's back porch, bored. She held her iphone in one hand, scrolling through games she'd played a hundred times. In her other palm sat an orange from Grandma's tree, bright as a tiny sun.

"Bored again?" Grandma's voice made Mia jump. She pointed to the glass bowl on the table. Inside, a goldfish named Sparkle swam in circles, its scales shimmering like underwater stars.

"Phones aren't the only magic," Grandma said mysteriously. "Sometimes the best adventures are right in your hand."

Mia frowned. But then Sparkle did something strange—it swam to the surface and blew a bubble that popped with a sound like a tiny bell.

Suddenly, the orange in Mia's palm began to glow. Soft light spilled between her fingers. When she opened her hand, she gasped.

Inside the orange peel was a miniature world—tiny trees with sparkly leaves, a pond with real ripples, and little paths made of what looked like vitamin crystals, gleaming in rainbow colors.

"Take the vitamin of wonder," Grandma whispered.

Mia reached in with one finger. The moment she touched the tiny pond, Sparkle from the fish bowl appeared inside it, now the size of a real fish in a real lake. The goldfish swam over and nudged her finger.

*Follow,* Mia seemed to hear in her heart.

She leaned closer, and suddenly she was inside the orange world. Sparkle guided her through crystal forests and across bridges made of light. They found treasures—not gold or jewels, but things that made her heart happy: the sound of wind through leaves, the smell of rain on pavement, the feeling of warm sun on her face.

"These are the real vitamins," Sparkle's voice echoed. "The ones that feed your imagination."

Mia understood. Her iphone could show her pictures of the world, but this magic let her FEEL it.

When she blinked, she was back on the porch, orange in her palm, Sparkle swimming calmly in its bowl. Her iphone lay forgotten on the table.

"Every day," Grandma said, "take a vitamin of wonder. It's everywhere—in palms, in oranges, in a goldfish's dance. Your imagination is the strongest magic there is."

Mia smiled. She picked up the orange and took a bite. It tasted like adventure, like friendship, like magic.

That night, she dreamed of crystal forests and a goldfish that taught her the most important lesson: the best games aren't on any screen. They're waiting right in the palm of your hand.
