Lily discovered the purple hat tangled in the old oak tree's branches. It shimmered like captured starlight, and when she slipped it on her head, the world transformed.

Suddenly, she could see magical creatures everywhere! Fairies danced on mushroom caps. Gnomes painted flowers with tiny brushes. And beneath the garden's spinach patch, something green and wobbly was trying to hide.

Lily's hat glowed warmer, showing her glowing trails connecting all living things. Zippy's trail was dim and flickering.

"You need magic vitamins!" Lily exclaimed. "Fresh from the garden!"

She plucked the crispest spinach leaves. But Zippy couldn't reach them—he kept stumbling and swaying.

His green skin brightened. His eyes sparkled. He did a happy little jump.

Lily's heart glowed warm and happy. She hadn't just found a magic hat—she'd found a friend.
