The Magic Hat's Pyramid

Lily pulled the floppy blue **hat** onto her head, but it didn't stay put. Instead, it twinkled with silver sparkles and lifted straight up into the sky, floating just above her reach!

"Come back!" she called, chasing it through her backyard and past the old oak tree. The hat led her to something she'd never seen before—a tiny golden **pyramid** no bigger than a shoebox, sitting right behind her garden shed.

The pyramid hummed with music like wind chimes. Lily reached out to touch it, and suddenly her brown **hair** began to glow, shimmering with rainbows that flowed down to her shoulders.

"That means you're chosen!" said a voice. Lily jumped and turned to see a boy her age, wearing glasses and holding a strange-looking **padel** racket painted with stars.

"I'm Oliver," he said. "I've been waiting for someone whose hair lights up. The Magic Pyramid needs two **friends** to open it."

"What's inside?" Lily asked, her rainbow hair still glowing.

Oliver grinned. "Dreams that come true—but only if you share them."

They stood on opposite sides of the pyramid. Oliver held his magic padel ready, and Lily understood without being told. She needed to hit the floating hat back and forth over the pyramid!

They played, laughing as the hat zoomed through the air. With each hit, the pyramid's humming grew louder. When Lily's hair glowed brightest, the pyramid clicked open.

Inside was a mirror. When they both looked in together, they didn't see their reflections—they saw themselves playing together, helping each other, sharing adventures.

"The real magic isn't wishes," Oliver whispered. "It's having someone to share them with."

Lily smiled, her rainbow hair fading to soft gold. She'd found something better than a magic pyramid—a true friend.

"Want to play padel tomorrow?" she asked.

"Every day," said Oliver.

And the magic pyramid? It still sits behind Lily's shed, waiting for two friends to remember that the best adventures are the ones we share.
