The Magic Goldfish's Secret
Emma loved her little orange goldfish, Splash. He lived in a blue glass bowl on her nightstand, swimming around and around. Every morning, Emma would sprinkle fish food into his bowl and watch him wiggle his tiny tail.
One Tuesday, something magical happened. Emma's dad handed her a shiny iPhone and said, "Here's your old phone back from the repair shop!" Emma placed it on her desk, right next to Splash's bowl.
That night, Emma couldn't sleep. She noticed something glowing near her fish bowl. When she looked closer, Splash was swimming in circles that spelled out letters! Emma rubbed her eyes. Was she dreaming?
"Hello, Emma!" bubbled a tiny voice. It was Splash!
Emma gasped. "You can talk!"
"Only when moonlight touches my bowl," Splash explained. "And guess what? That shiny iPhone of yours makes my magic stronger!"
Emma giggled with delight. Splash told her that every full moon, he received a special magic vitamin from the stars. This vitamin let him grant wishes to kind children.
"I wish... I wish I could swim like you!" Emma said.
Splash swam in a beautiful figure-eight pattern. Tiny sparkles rose from his bowl and floated around Emma. Suddenly, she felt light as a feather! She began swimming through the air, her arms moving like graceful fins.
Emma zoomed around her room, splashing through invisible water. She danced with the moonbeams and played tag with floating dust bunnies. For the first time, she understood exactly how Splash felt every day.
"This is amazing!" Emma laughed.
When the moonlight faded, Emma gently landed back on her feet. Splash blew her a fishy kiss.
"Thank you, Splash!" Emma whispered.
"The real magic is kindness," Splash bubbled. "You take such good care of me. That's why I shared my magic with you."
Emma smiled and curled up in bed, dreaming of swimming through starry oceans with her magical goldfish friend.
