The Magic Garden's Sleepy Friend

Luna loved visiting her grandmother's garden at twilight, when fireflies danced between the sunflowers and the air smelled like sweet jasmine. But tonight, something magical happened.

Behind the tomato plants, Luna spotted something strange—a tall, slow-moving figure with wild, woolly **hair** the color of autumn leaves. It moved like it was sleepwalking, almost like a **zombie** from her brother's storybooks, but gentle somehow.

Luna's black **cat**, Midnight, crept forward, sniffing the air curiously. Instead of running away, Midnight rubbed against the creature's leg and purred loudly.

"I'm Fern," the creature whispered in a voice like rustling leaves. "I'm the garden's guardian. I only wake up at night to protect the magical plants."

Fern showed Luna something amazing—a patch of glowing **spinach** that shimmered with tiny stars. "This spinach gives sweet dreams to anyone who eats it," Fern explained, "but only when the moon is full."

Suddenly, a snort sounded from the barn. A toy **bull** that usually sat on Luna's nightstand trotted into the garden, now life-sized and made of golden light! The bull lowered its head respectfully to Fern.

"The magic is strongest tonight," Fern said, smiling. "Would you like to try the dream spinach?"

Luna took a small leaf. It tasted like starlight and wishes. That night, she dreamed of dancing with fireflies and riding the golden bull through clouds made of spun sugar.

When she woke, Fern was gone, but the spinach patch still glowed softly. Luna learned that sometimes, the things that seem strange or scary are actually just magical friends waiting to be discovered.

Now every twilight, Luna and Midnight visit the garden, wondering what other magic Fern might reveal. Because the most wonderful adventures often begin when you're brave enough to say hello to something unexpected.
