The Magic Garden Race

Leo loved running more than anything in the world. Every morning, he would race the sun to the top of the hill behind his house, his sneakers thumping against the grass like a drumbeat.

One Saturday, Leo's grandmother called him to her garden. "Leo, I need someone special to help me today," she said, her eyes twinkling like stars. "The magic spinach only grows for children with curious hearts."

Leo had never heard of magic spinach! He followed Grandma to a corner of the garden where glowing green leaves shimmered under the morning sun. "This isn't ordinary spinach," Grandma explained. "Each leaf contains a tiny adventure vitamin — one that powers your imagination and makes your feet faster than dreams."

Leo carefully picked three glowing leaves. They hummed in his hands like sleepy bees. "What do I do with them?" he asked.

"Eat one before running," Grandma whispered. "But remember — the magic only works if you're running toward something kind."

Leo popped a leaf into his mouth. It tasted like rainbows and morning dew. Suddenly, he felt lighter than air! He started running, and the world transformed around him. Trees waved hello, flowers sang songs, and a friendly rabbit invited him to a tea party.

Leo's running had never been so wonderful! He visited crystal caves, danced with butterflies, and helped a lost bird find its way home. Each adventure was more magical than the last.

That evening, Leo told Grandma everything. She smiled. "You see, the magic spinach doesn't just make you fast — it opens your eyes to the magic that's always been there. The real vitamin is wonder, Leo. And it's growing everywhere."

Leo smiled, touching his remaining spinach leaves gently. He couldn't wait for tomorrow's run. Now he knew that every running adventure was magic, as long as he ran with an open heart.

And from that day on, Leo never just ran — he soared through wonder, one magical step at a time.
