The Magic Garden Pyramid
Lily loved visiting Grandma's garden, but today something magical happened. Behind the old oak tree, she discovered a shimmering glass pyramid she'd never noticed before. Inside, the air sparkled with tiny rainbows.
In the center of the glass pyramid flowed a crystal stream, and swimming in the water was the most beautiful goldfish Lily had ever seen. Its scales flashed silver and pink, like sunset clouds.
"Hello, little friend," the goldfish spoke in a voice like gentle bells. "I've been waiting for someone brave enough to find my magical home."
Lily's eyes widened. "You can talk?"
"Magic happens when you believe in it," the goldfish said, swimming in graceful circles. "But I need your help. A giant grumpy bull guards the path between my world and yours. He's been grumpy for three hundred years because nobody ever offered him anything good to eat."
Lily thought hard. Grandma always said the best way to make friends was through kindness. "I know what bulls like!" She remembered the basket of fresh vegetables she'd picked that morning.
She ran to fetch the biggest, greenest leaves from the garden—crisp, delicious spinach. When the grumpy bull appeared at the garden gate, his giant horns glinting in the sun, Lily didn't run away. Instead, she held out the spinach leaves with both hands.
"For you, Mr. Bull," she said bravely.
The bull lowered his massive head, sniffed the green leaves, and took a gentle bite. His eyes softened. "Nobody's ever made me such a thoughtful gift," he said, his deep voice rumbling like distant thunder.
The goldfish appeared in a magical bubble of water. "Because nobody thought to offer kindness instead of fear."
From that day on, Lily visited her special friends every week. She learned that courage doesn't mean being big or strong—it means being kind, even when you're scared. And sometimes the most magical adventures begin with something as simple as sharing a leaf of spinach.
