The Magic Garden Phone
Lily loved visiting her grandmother's house, especially the backyard garden. But today, something strange happened. While hunting for four-leaf clovers, Lily dug up something unexpected—not a clover, but an old iPhone buried in the spinach patch!
The phone was covered in dirt, but when Lily wiped it off, it suddenly glowed with green light. To her surprise, tiny spinach leaves appeared on the screen, arranging themselves into letters:
"HELLO, FRIEND!"
Lily gasped. "Who is this?"
"I'm Sprout," the screen replied. "The magic spinach spirit! I've been waiting 100 years for someone to find me."
"A magic spinach spirit?" Lily giggled. "But spinach is just a vegetable!"
"Not in my garden!" Sprout's message flashed. "I can grant one wish to any true friend of nature. What does your heart desire?"
Lily thought hard. She could wish for toys, candy, or even a puppy. But then she remembered the withered oak tree in her grandmother's yard—the one Grandma said was dying.
"Can you save Grandma's oak tree?" Lily asked. "She misses its shade so much."
The phone sparkled brighter than ever. Real spinach leaves magically burst from the screen, floating into the air and swirling toward the old oak tree. They surrounded its trunk with a brilliant green glow.
Outside, Lily watched in wonder as fresh green leaves sprouted from the bare branches. The tree stood tall again, healthier than ever!
"Thank you, Sprout!" Lily called out, but the phone's screen had gone dark. When she tried to turn it on again, it wouldn't work. The magic was finished.
Grandma came outside and gasped. "Lily! The oak tree—it's alive again! How did you do this?"
Lily smiled, patting the soil where she'd found the magical phone. "Sometimes, Grandma, the best magic comes from unexpected friendships... even with a spinach spirit."
