The Magic Cable to Dreamland

Luna discovered the cable in her grandmother's attic, sparkling like captured moonlight. It dangled through a hole in the roof, swaying gently as if beckoning her upward. Her grandmother called it a dream-catcher's rope, but Luna knew it was something more magical.

"Hello?" she called, tugging the cable. It responded with a warm, golden glow.

That night, Luna pulled herself up, hand over hand, until she emerged through the clouds into Dreamland — a floating island kingdom where imagination kept everything alive. But something was wrong. The colors were fading, and the clouds were turning gray.

A tiny creature named Pico, no bigger than a tennis ball, fluttered toward her. His wings drooped sadly. "Our Dream Vitamin supply is running low!" he explained. "These special crystals keep imagination glowing. Without them, Dreamland will disappear."

The factory had stopped making Dream Vitamins because the keeper, a grumpy giant named Morpheus, had lost his ability to dream.

"I can help!" Luna declared. "I'll bring him dreams from the waking world!"

But how? The answer sparkled above her — a cable car track running through the stars, connecting worlds.

Running back to her room, Luna grabbed her sketchbook filled with drawings: dragons reading books, trees that grew candy, clouds shaped like rabbits. These were her dreams!

Pico helped her attach the sketchbook to a glowing cable basket. With a whoosh, they were off, soaring through galaxies of purple and blue, past comets trailing like ribbons.

They found Morpheus sitting alone, his eyes dull. Luna showed him her drawings. One by one, he touched each picture — and smiled. A dragon's roar echoed. A candy tree bloomed. A cloud-rabbit hopped across the sky.

"Dreams!" Morpheus cried, his laugh like thunder. The Dream Vitamin machine roared to life, pumping rainbow crystals into Dreamland's heart.

"You saved us," Pico chirped, hugging Luna's finger. "But who will keep the dreams flowing now?"

Luna knew what to do. She strung a smaller cable from her bedroom window to the clouds, where Dreamland children could send their drawings down, and she could send hers up.

Now every night, Luna falls asleep to the twinkle of that magic cable, knowing friendship and imagination are the strongest magic of all — and that dreams, when shared, never run out.
