The Magic Cable Pool

Lily loved her iPhone more than anything. She played games on it all day long, even when her brother begged her to explore the woods behind their house.

One sunny afternoon, Lily dropped her phone in the tall grass. While searching, she spotted something strange—a thick silver cable that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight. Curious, she followed it deeper into the forest, past the old oak tree and around the babbling brook.

The cable led her to a hidden clearing she had never seen before. In the center sparkled the most beautiful pool she could imagine. The water was clear as glass and reflected colors like a rainbow.

"Please don't be scared," whispered a voice. Tiny glowing creatures emerged from the water—they were Pool Sprites!

"We've been waiting for you," said the smallest sprite, whose name was Splash. "Your magic cable led you here because we need help. Our pool is losing its magic because children have forgotten how to play outside."

Lily looked at her hands, then at the magical creatures. "I can help!" she declared. "But how?"

"Make new friends," Splash said. "Share adventures. Use your imagination."

Lily ran home and found her brother. "Come with me! I found something amazing!"

Hand in hand, they followed the glowing cable back to the magic pool. For hours, they played with the sprites, splashed in rainbow water, and invented magical games. No iPhone could ever be this fun.

"Thank you, Lily," Splash said as the sun began to set. "You remembered what really matters—friends, adventure, and the magic all around you."

That night, Lily's iPhone lay forgotten on her nightstand. She was too busy dreaming of her next adventure with the Pool Sprites and the magical cable that had shown her the most important thing of all: the best magic happens when you put down the screen and look up at the world.
