The Magic Cable at Moonlight Pool
Lily, Ben, and Mia were best friends who loved playing padel at the community center every Saturday. Their favorite court sat right next to the old swimming pool, which had been closed for as long as anyone could remember. One hot afternoon, while chasing a stray ball, Lily noticed something strange behind the pool fence. An old, rusted cable stretched from the pool house into the woods, shimmering in the sunlight like it was made of silver. What's that? she asked, pointing. Ben and Mia rushed over. The cable pulsed with a gentle blue light. I've never seen a cable glow like that before, Ben whispered. Mia, always the bravest, reached out and touched it. Suddenly, the pool water began to bubble and sparkle. The gate swung open with a creak, inviting them inside. The water wasn't ordinary water anymore—it swirled with colors like a rainbow had melted into it. Small fish with translucent wings darted beneath the surface. It's a moonlight pool! Mia exclaimed, though it was still daytime. The cable tugged gently, pulling them toward a floating padel court that appeared on the water's surface. Let's play! Lily cheered. As they hit the ball back and forth, something magical happened. Every time the ball touched the cable, it created ripples of music—soft chimes and gentle melodies. The winged fish leaped out of the water, dancing to their rhythm. You're all playing together so beautifully, a mermaid with emerald scales surfaced, smiling. This pool rewards teamwork and friendship. She explained that long ago, children had forgotten to play kindly, and the pool had dried up. Only when friends played padel with pure joy would the magic return. The three friends played until sunset, laughing and cheering for every good shot—no one cared who won. As they left, the mermaid promised: Whenever you need magic, just follow the cable with kind hearts. From that day on, the community pool was never closed again, and Lily, Ben, and Mia visited often, always remembering: the real magic wasn't in the glowing cable or the rainbow water—it was in playing together with love.
