The Magic Behind the Couch
Lily's **iPhone** had disappeared again. Mom always said it grew legs and walked away, but Lily knew phones didn't have legs. Or did they?
She crawled behind the big blue couch, dust bunnies tickling her nose. There, tangled in a mess of old fuzz and forgotten toys, lay her phone—next to something strange.
A silver **cable** glowed with soft blue light, stretching into a tiny door Lily had never noticed before. It was no bigger than a cereal box, carved into the wall behind the couch.
"Hello?" Lily whispered, pushing the little door open.
Inside, she gasped. A miniature forest glowed with bioluminescent flowers, tiny streams sparkled like liquid diamonds, and something amazing stood before her—a small boy made entirely of green leaves!
"I'm Leaf!" he said, grinning. "Will you be my **friend**?"
"Yes!" Lily beamed, but then her tummy rumbled loudly.
Leaf laughed and pointed to nearby plants. "These are special **spinach** leaves! One bite makes you float like a bubble!"
Lily took a bite—and WHOOSH! She drifted upward, weightless as a feather, dancing through the tiny forest with Leaf. They played tag with fireflies, raced floating leaves down rainbow streams, and made flower crowns that chimed like tiny bells.
Too soon, the silver cable's blue light began to fade.
"You must go," Leaf said sadly, pressing something into her hand. "But remember, magic lives in unexpected places."
Lily woke up on her living room floor, her **iPhone** beside her. In her hand sat a dried spinach leaf that still shimmered with fairy dust.
Now whenever Lily eats **spinach**, she smiles—thinking of her leafy friend and the magical world hiding behind the couch, waiting for her next visit.
And sometimes, late at night, she swears she can hear tiny bells chiming from behind the blue couch.
