The Magic Baseball's Splash
Lily loved her old baseball. It was orange and bumpy, with stitches like a smile. But nobody wanted to play. Everyone was too tired.
"Maybe you need more sunshine," said Grandma, handing her a bottle. "Take your vitamin every morning. It gives you energy!"
Lily took her little vitamin tablet, then grabbed her baseball. She walked to Sparkle Lake, where the water glittered like diamonds. She tossed the baseball high—UP, UP, UP!
*SPLOSH!* The ball hit the water.
But instead of sinking, the baseball BUBBLED. It GLOWED. Then it grew fins!
"Follow me!" a tiny voice squeaked.
Lily couldn't believe it. Her baseball was... talking? And swimming?
"Come in! The water's magic today!"
Lily dipped her toes. Warm and tingly. She slipped into the water, and suddenly she could swim like a fish! DOWN she went, following her glowing baseball friend.
Deep underwater, they found a sad old turtle. "I'm too tired to swim," he sighed. "I haven't found the Golden Vitamin in years."
"What's a Golden Vitamin?" Lily asked.
"Nature's secret treasure! One bite gives you forever energy!"
Lily's baseball spun in circles. "I know where it is! Follow me!"
They swam past coral castles and schools of rainbow fish. Deeper and deeper until they found a glowing orange cave. Inside sat the biggest, shiniest vitamin ever!
The turtle took one bite. His eyes popped open! He did a happy flip!
"Now I can swim forever! Thank you, little friend!"
Lily floated back to the surface. Her baseball was normal again—just a orange ball with smiley stitches. But now everyone wanted to play.
"Where did you get all that energy?" her friends asked.
Lily smiled and patted her baseball. "Sometimes," she whispered, "magic is just an adventure away."
