Once upon a time, in a backyard painted golden by morning sun, lived Max the dog and Whiskers the cat. Though most cats and dogs chase each other, Max and Whiskers were best friends who shared adventures every day.

Max bounded forward, his tail wagging with pure excitement. Whiskers approached cautiously, her emerald eyes widening with wonder as the balls sang gentle tunes.
"Every sixty seasons," the fairy explained, "animals who prove their courage and kindness may join our magical tournament. The winning team receives one wish—to help any creature in need."
Max and Whiskers faced sparkly dolphins who swam through air like liquid dreams, and squirrels who zipped between palm trees like shooting stars. Though the magical beings played brilliantly, Max and Whiskers never gave up.
In the final inning, with the score tied and one magical baseball remaining, the fairy added, "True champions are those who help others win."
Max noticed a young dolphin struggling to stay airborne and immediately swam over to support his new friend. Whiskers saw the squirrel's tail caught in palm fronds and rushed to help.
