The Lightning Zoo Adventure
Emma loved visiting her grandfather's farm. But during the big thunderstorm, something magical happened. Lightning struck the old oak tree, and suddenly, the wooden animals in the garden came alive!
First came Bull, a sturdy wooden figure with painted horns. "Don't be afraid," he said in a deep, gentle voice. "The magic lightning has woken us for one night of adventure!"
Then Bear trotted over, her carved fur somehow soft and real. She wore a blue bow in her hair and looked ready for anything. "Let's explore!" she cheered.
But Emma was worried about the third figure—a wooden zombie toy her grandfather had carved as a joke. Would Zombie be scary?
To her surprise, Zombie was the friendliest of all! He shuffled forward with a lopsided grin, holding out a wooden flower. "Friend?" he asked hopefully.
Emma smiled and took the flower. "Yes, friends!"
Together, the four of them had the most magical night ever. Bull gave Emma rides on his strong back. Bear taught them to catch fireflies in jars (and release them again, of course). Zombie showed them secret fairy circles in the garden, and they all danced under the moonlight.
"Why did the lightning wake us?" Bull wondered as dawn approached.
Emma thought carefully. "Maybe because magic happens when you least expect it—and the best magic is friendship."
As the sun began to rise, the animals grew still again. But Emma knew they weren't just toys anymore. Every time lightning flashed in future storms, she'd visit the garden, ready for another magical adventure with her wooden friends.
Sometimes the scariest-looking things turn out to be the kindest. And sometimes, just sometimes, lightning brings magic instead of danger.
