The Lightning Zombie's Special Message

In the dusty corner of Mr. Picklewhistle's Toy Shop, a small green zombie named Zed sat on a forgotten shelf. He wasn't like other toys—his stitches were visible, one button eye hung loose, and his smile was crooked. But Zed had a secret wish: he wanted to be a real friend to someone.

One stormy evening, when lightning flashed across the sky like brilliant silver ribbons, something magical happened. A bolt of lightning struck the toy shop's old chimney, sending a spark of magic through the walls. Zed felt a tingle in his stuffed heart, and suddenly, he could move!

"Hello?" he called out in a rusty voice.

Maya, a curious girl with dark braids, had been hiding in the shop during the storm. She gasped when she saw Zed wave his lopsided arms.

"You're alive!" she whispered, eyes wide with wonder.

"I've always been alive in here," Zed said, tapping his chest. "But the lightning gave me the magic to move and talk!"

Maya pulled out her iphone from her pocket. "I have to show my grandma! She loves magical stories."

But when she tried to call, the phone had no signal. The storm had knocked out all the power in town, including the cell tower.

"Everyone must be scared in the dark," Maya said worriedly.

Zed's button eye twinkled. "Maybe I can help! The lightning magic is still inside me. What if I could send a message through the electrical wires?"

Maya's eyes lit up. "Like a lightning messenger zombie!"

Zed concentrated hard. He raised his hands, and tiny sparks danced between his fingers. Then he touched Maya's iphone. The screen flickered to life with a warm glow, showing a simple message that appeared on every phone in town: STAY SAFE, FRIENDS. HELP IS COMING.

"Zed!" Maya hugged him. "You're the best zombie ever!"

That night, Zed the lightning zombie became the town's little hero. He learned that being different didn't mean being alone—and sometimes, the most unexpected friends can brighten the darkest storms.

From then on, Zed lived in Maya's pocket, ready to spread magic and help whenever lightning struck.
