The Lightning Who Learned to Swim
High in the stormy clouds lived a tiny lightning bolt named Sparkle. Unlike all the other lightning bolts who loved zooming down to the ground with loud crashes, Sparkle was different. She was curious about what lay below the clouds.
One night, during a gentle summer storm, Sparkle peeked over the edge of a cloud and gasped. Below, a lake shimmered like silver under the moonlight. The water looked so peaceful, so magical. Other lightning bolts warned her, "Water and lightning don't mix! You'll fizzle out!" But Sparkle's curiosity burned brighter than her fear.
Slowly, carefully, she drifted down toward the lake. When her glowing tip touched the surface, she expected to disappear. Instead, something amazing happened—the water welcomed her! Tiny ripples of light spread across the lake, creating a beautiful glow.
"Hello!" called a small fish. "I'm Finn. What are you?"
"I'm Sparkle. I'm a lightning bolt, and I want to learn swimming."
Finn giggled. "Lightning can't swim! But you're welcome to try."
Every storm, Sparkle returned to practice. At first, she could only float near the surface. But with Finn's help and the encouragement of other fish friends, she learned to move through the water. Instead of scary cracks, her touch created gentle ripples of light that helped fish see in the dark.
One night, a young turtle got lost in the murky depths. The fish couldn't find him. Sparkle knew what to do. She swam deeper than ever, her soft glow lighting up the water like a living lantern. She found the scared turtle and guided him safely home.
After that, everyone saw Sparkle differently. Her supposed weakness—being a lightning who loved water—was actually her gift. She had learned that being different doesn't mean being wrong. It means being exactly who you're meant to be.
Now every storm, you can find Sparkle swimming in her lake, surrounded by fishy friends, her gentle light proving that even lightning can make waves when it dares to try something new.
