The Lightning Vitamin Soup

Lila loved swimming more than anything in the world. Every summer day, she'd dive into the crystal-blue lake behind her cottage, her legs kicking like a happy frog. But one evening, as storm clouds gathered overhead, Lila noticed something strange.

Tiny flashes of lightning weren't just hitting the water—they were dancing across the surface like glowing silver butterflies. And where each lightning drop touched the water, little bubbles popped up, each one shimmering with rainbow colors.

"What ARE those?" Lila wondered, swimming closer (safely from the shore).

An old turtle poked his head from the water. "Those are lightning vitamins, child. The storm cooks them into soup!"

"Vitamins?" Lila gasped.

"Indeed!" The turtle nodded slowly. "Every summer, lightning stirs up special magic in our lake. One gulp gives fish extra shine, frogs extra jump, and curious little swimmers extra courage."

Lila's eyes widened. She'd always been afraid of deep water. But that night, she watched lightning create thousands of sparkling bubbles, each one a tiny gift of bravery.

The next morning, Lila swam deeper than ever before. Her heart felt lighter, her strokes stronger. Had she swallowed a lightning vitamin in her sleep? Or maybe, just maybe, understanding the magic had given her something even better—belief in herself.

Now whenever storms come, Lila watches lightning create vitamins for everyone. And she smiles, knowing the greatest magic wasn't in the water at all. It was in her all along, just waiting to shine bright like lightning.
