The Lightning Storm's Magic Gift

Emma loved wearing her grandpa's old brown hat. It was too big and wobbled when she walked, but it made her feel brave. One rainy afternoon, she was playing in the backyard when something strange happened.

A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, and suddenly, a tiny bull made of golden light appeared beside her! He was only as tall as her boots, with a shiny coat that crackled like electricity.

"Hello!" the little bull said. "I'm Flash! I came from the lightning bolt!"

Emma gasped. "You can talk?"

"I can do lots of things!" Flash pranced around her. "Want to play?"

Just then, Emma's dad called from the porch. "Emma, come inside! It's getting stormy!" He held out her iphone. "Your mom wants to say goodnight before her meeting."

Emma took the phone and talked to her mom, but she kept watching Flash through the window. The little bull was running in circles in the rain, leaving tiny glowing footprints.

After the call, Emma sneaked back outside. "Flash! Are you real?"

"I'm real because you believe in me!" Flash said. "But I have to go home soon. The storm is moving away."

Emma felt sad. "Will I ever see you again?"

Flash smiled. "Maybe! But first, want to see something magical?" He tapped his golden hooves on the ground, and suddenly, Emma's hat began to glow!

"Your grandpa's hat is special," Flash explained. "He left magic in it for you. Whenever you're scared or lonely, just put it on and think of me. I'll be there, lightning-fast!"

Emma touched the warm hat. "Really?"

"Really. Now, before I go... let's run!" Flash dashed across the yard, and Emma chased him, laughing in the rain.

They ran until the storm clouds drifted apart. Flash grew fainter. "Goodbye, Emma! Remember — magic lives where you find it!"

With one last spark, he disappeared. Emma stood in the puddles, her glowing hat warm on her head. She ran inside, heart full of magic.

That night, she dreamed of lightning storms and tiny golden bulls, her hat glowing softly on the bedside table. And every stormy day after, Emma would wear her grandpa's hat and smile, knowing magic was never far away.
