The Lightning Sphinx's Riddle

Lily loved her grandma's attic. It smelled like cinnamon and secrets. One rainy afternoon, she found something peculiar tucked inside an old trunk: an iphone that shimmered like moonlight. When she touched the screen, purple lightning sparkled from her fingertips!

Suddenly, the attic walls dissolved into mist. Lily found herself standing in a golden desert where a magnificent sphinx waited. The creature had lion paws, eagle wings, and wise eyes that twinkled like stars.

"Welcome, young traveler," the sphinx rumbled kindly. "My friend needs your help."

A sleepy bull plodded forward, but something was odd. The bull moved slowly, eyes half-closed, like he was walking through honey. He looked almost like a zombie!

"That's Bernie," the sphinx explained. "He ate the Sleepy Moonflower by mistake. Now he's stuck in zombie-mode until sunset!"

Lily gasped. "How can I help?"

"The lightning flower can wake him," said the sphinx. "But it only blooms during thunderstorms. You must use your magic lightning fingers to open the path!"

Lily raised her iphone, which now glowed with magical energy. Zap! Purple lightning shot from her hands, clearing away clouds of sleep-dust that blocked a secret cave. Inside, she found the lightning flower—a glowing bloom that crackled with tiny sparks!

Carefully, Lily carried it back. Bernie's eyes snapped open as the flower's magical sparkles surrounded him.

"Whoa!" Bernie shook his head. "I had the craziest dream that I was a zombie!"

The sphinx purred with laughter. "Lily saved you with courage and kindness. That's the strongest magic of all."

As the sun began to set, Lily felt herself being pulled back. She opened her eyes in the attic, the iphone now just an ordinary phone. But something was different—a small lightning-shaped flower petal glowed softly in her pocket.

Sometimes magic is real, Lily realized, when you have brave friends and a kind heart.
