The Lightning's Special Vitamin

Leo loved baseball more than anything. Every day after school, he practiced in his backyard, dreaming of hitting the perfect home run. But Leo had a secret – he got nervous before every game.

One evening, a summer storm rolled in. Thunder rumbled like a giant's belly, and bolts of lightning danced across the sky. Leo watched from his window, wishing he could be brave like those flashing lights.

His grandmother came in with his daily vitamin. "This will make you strong, Leo," she said. But Leo knew vitamins couldn't fix nervousness.

Suddenly, a tiny lightning bug flew into his room. It glowed like a miniature lightning bolt, zigzagging through the air. It landed right on his vitamin!

The vitamin started to sparkle and shimmer with magical light. The lightning bug seemed to wink at Leo before flying back out into the storm.

Leo took the glowing vitamin. Something felt different. A warm, tingling sensation spread through his body, like sunshine on a cold day.

The next morning was the big championship game. Leo stepped up to the plate, his heart pounding. The pitcher wound up and threw the ball. It came fast, like a comet streaking through space.

CRACK!

Leo hit the ball so hard it sailed over the fence, over the trees, and into the clouds. It looked like a piece of lightning shooting across the sky! His team cheered, but Leo smiled at a special secret.

After the game, he found the lightning bug resting on his bat. Its glow reminded him of something important – the vitamin didn't give him magic powers. The lightning bug had shown him the magic was already inside him all along.

Sometimes courage comes in unexpected packages, and the bravest thing you can do is believe in yourself.

From that day on, Leo played with confidence. And whenever he felt nervous, he'd remember the lightning bug's lesson: true strength doesn't come from vitamins or tricks – it comes from your heart.
