The Lightning's Goldfish Wish
Leo loved his orange goldfish, Finne, who swam in circles around his little bowl. Every night before bed, Leo would tap on the glass and whisper, "Goodnight, Finne. Dream of oceans!"
One stormy evening, while thunder crashed outside, Leo's dad handed him something special — his very first iPhone. "For taking pictures of things you love," Dad said with a wink.
Leo couldn't wait to try it! He pointed the phone at Finne's bowl and clicked. Just then, a huge flash of lightning struck outside!
CRACK-BOOM!
The lights flickered. Leo's phone glowed strangely. When he looked at the photo he'd taken, his mouth fell open.
Finne wasn't just swimming in the photo. The goldfish was leaping through a magical wave made of lightning! And in tiny glowing letters, a message appeared: "Thank you for believing in me."
"Finne?" Leo whispered.
The goldfish swam to the front of the bowl and — Leo couldn't believe his eyes — gave the tiniest little nod!
"You can understand me?" Leo gasped.
Finne did a happy flip, and another flash of lightning zoomed through the room like a sparkling ribbon. The phone's screen brightened, showing a beautiful underwater kingdom where goldfish like Finne once swam free.
Leo's eyes went wide. "Is that where you're from?"
Finne nodded again, then tapped the glass with his nose, looking at Leo with the most grateful eyes.
That night, Leo made a promise. "I'll take care of you forever, Finne. And someday, when you're big and strong, we'll find your kingdom again."
The lightning outside seemed to dance in agreement, painting the sky in brilliant purples and golds.
Leo learned something magical that night: even the smallest friends can have the biggest dreams, and sometimes, lightning strikes not to scare, but to bring magic to those who believe in the impossible.
From then on, every time Leo looked at Finne through his iPhone camera, he could see tiny sparkles — little reminders that magic is real, especially when you share it with a friend.
