The Lightning Pyramid's Secret

Emma sat by her window as lightning flashed across the dark sky. She held her dad's old iPhone, playing her favorite game about exploring ancient places.

Suddenly, something in the attic caught her eye — a strange glow coming from behind an old trunk. Emma climbed up the creaky stairs and discovered a small golden pyramid she'd never seen before. It pulsed with light every time lightning struck outside.

'Hello?' she called out tentatively.

To her surprise, a door in the pyramid opened, and out stepped a green creature. Emma gasped — it looked like a zombie from her games, but this one wore a shiny crown and had the kindest eyes she'd ever seen.

'Please don't be afraid,' the zombie said in a gentle voice. 'I am Zane, guardian of the Magic Water Kingdom. Our pyramid has been lost for a hundred years, and my kingdom is drying up without its protection.'

Emma's fear melted away. 'How can I help?'

'The pyramid needs to be placed by water before midnight,' Zane explained. 'But I've been trapped so long, I don't know where we are.'

Emma's eyes lit up. 'I can help!' She opened the iPhone and used the map app. 'We're near Crystal Lake! That's perfect — it has lots of water!'

As lightning continued to flash, Emma grabbed her raincoat and the golden pyramid. Zane shrank down to fit in her pocket. Together they dashed through the rain toward the lake, thunder rumbling like drums.

At the water's edge, Emma placed the pyramid on a rock. Lightning struck the tip of the pyramid, and suddenly the lake began to glow. Streams of magical water flowed from the pyramid, spiraling into the sky like a beautiful fountain of light.

'Thank you, Emma,' Zane said, growing tall again. 'You saved my kingdom. Because of your bravery, zombies and humans can now be friends.'

Emma watched in wonder as the pyramid dissolved into sparkles, and Zane waved goodbye before vanishing into the magical water fountain.

The next morning, Emma's dad found her sleeping by the window with a smile on her face. In her hand, she clutched a small golden pyramid charm on a silver chain — a gift from Zane, so she'd never forget that even the most unusual friends can bring the most wonderful adventures.
