The Lightning Pyramid's Secret

Lily and her best friend Toby loved exploring their backyard. One day, they spotted something strange near the old **palm** tree—a glimmering golden shape half-buried in the sand.

"What is it?" Toby asked, brushing away dirt.

Lily's eyes widened. "It looks like a tiny **pyramid**!"

They dug until the whole pyramid emerged. It was no bigger than a shoebox, made of something that sparkled like captured sunshine. Strange symbols covered its sides.

Suddenly, a grumbly voice came from behind them. "Arrrgh, brains..."

The children jumped! A green figure shambled out from behind the palm tree. It had ragged clothes and messy hair.

"A **zombie**!" Toby gasped, grabbing Lily's hand.

But the zombie didn't attack. Instead, it reached out with a trembling finger and pointed at the pyramid. "Please... help me..."

Lily noticed something—this zombie wasn't scary at all. Its eyes were sad, not mean. "What do you need?"

"My name is Zeb," the zombie whispered. "I was once an explorer like you. I found this pyramid centuries ago. It's cursed! Only children with pure hearts can break the spell."

Toby frowned. "How?"

"The pyramid needs friendship to open," Zeb explained. "I was alone when I found it. That's why I've been trapped as a zombie ever since. But you two... you're friends."

Lily and Toby looked at each other and nodded. Together, they placed their hands on the pyramid's golden surface.

*CRACK!*

A bolt of **lightning** shot from the sky! But it didn't strike the ground—it hit the pyramid, filling the air with brilliant purple light. The symbols glowed brighter and brighter.

"Thank you," Zeb's voice echoed as the light swirled around him. When the glow faded, the zombie was gone. In his place stood a young explorer with a bright smile.

"You broke the curse!" Zeb cheered. "Friendship is the strongest magic of all."

He pressed something into Lily's hand—a tiny golden pyramid charm. "For always being brave and kind together."

Zeb disappeared in a spark of light, but Lily and Toby didn't feel sad. They knew they would never forget their most magical adventure, and the most important lesson they learned: some things in life are impossible to do alone, but together, anything is possible.
