The Lightning Pyramid's Secret

Maya loved swimming more than anything in the world. Every summer day, she'd dive into the cool blue water of Crystal Lake, pretending she was a mermaid exploring an underwater kingdom.

One afternoon, while Maya was swimming near the old wooden dock, she spotted something strange shimmering beneath the water's surface. It looked like a tiny pyramid made of golden light! Curious, she dove deeper and discovered it wasn't just light — it was a real golden pyramid, small enough to fit in her palm, glowing with mysterious energy.

"Hello there!" a voice bubbled from behind her. Maya spun around to see the most unusual creature — a zombie! But this wasn't a scary zombie like in movies. He had green skin that sparkled like emeralds, friendly purple eyes, and the biggest smile she'd ever seen. He wore a colorful Hawaiian shirt and flower crown.

"I'm Zed!" the cheerful zombie said, doing a little underwater dance. "I've been waiting fifty years for someone to find the Lightning Pyramid!"

"Lightning Pyramid?" Maya asked, clutching the golden object.

"Yes!" Zed explained excitedly. "It grants one special wish to anyone with a pure heart. But you must use it before the next lightning storm, or the magic fades forever!"

Maya thought carefully. She could wish for anything — infinite candy, a pet dragon, or to fly like a superhero. But then she remembered how lonely Zed seemed, waiting all those years for someone to talk to.

"I wish," Maya said boldly, "for Zed to have friends who will visit him every summer!"

Suddenly, the pyramid burst with lightning that didn't hurt — it sparkled like fireworks! Golden light filled the water, and suddenly dozens of glowing fish appeared, along with friendly mermaids and playful sea creatures.

"Thank you, Maya!" Zed cheered, giving her a gentle hug. "You chose kindness when you could have chosen anything. That's the rarest magic of all."

From that day on, Maya's swimming adventures were never lonely again. She learned that the best wishes are the ones that make others happy, and that true magic lives in kind hearts everywhere.
