The Lightning Pyramid's Secret
Emma loved exploring her grandmother's attic. Rain drummed on the roof as she dug through dusty boxes. Her fingers brushed something smooth and cool—an old silver pyramid with strange symbols.
"What are you?" she whispered, turning it in her hands.
Suddenly, the attic filled with purple light. Lightning flashed outside, but this glow came from the pyramid itself! A tiny bull with golden horns trotted out of the purple light. He was only the size of Emma's thumb.
"Greetings, young friend!" said the bull in a voice like distant thunder. "I am Bruno, guardian of the Lightning Pyramid. Thank you for awakening me!"
Emma gasped. "You can talk?"
Bruno nodded. "Long ago, a wicked wizard trapped me inside. Only someone with a pure heart could free me. You, Emma, have such a heart."
Emma's eyes widened. "Me? But I'm just a kid."
"That's exactly why!" Bruno stomped his tiny hooves. "Children believe in magic. Adults forget."
He nudged Emma's pocket where her iphone peeked out. "But your world has its own magic now, doesn't it?"
Emma giggled. "I guess so. But this is better magic!"
Bruno's golden horns crackled with tiny lightning bolts. "Emma, will you be my friend and help me find my way home? The pyramid can show us the path!"
"Yes!" Emma grabbed her backpack. "Let's go on an adventure!"
Together, they climbed inside the glowing pyramid. Whoosh! They tumbled through swirling colors and landed in a meadow filled with sparkling flowers.
Bruno's eyes filled with happy tears. "I'm home!"
Emma hugged her tiny friend. "I'll visit every summer!"
Bruno smiled. "And remember, Emma—magic lives wherever friendship dwells."
Emma returned home with the pyramid tucked safely in her pocket. Now whenever lightning flashed across the sky, she knew Bruno was saying hello from far away.
