The Lightning Pyramid's Magic Friend
Mia loved exploring her grandmother's attic. Rain tapped against the window as she rummaged through dusty boxes, until something caught her eye — a small golden pyramid with strange symbols carved into its sides.
Suddenly, a flash of lightning lit up the whole attic. The pyramid began to glow! Mia held her breath as the little pyramid floated upward, spinning faster and faster. Another lightning bolt struck nearby, and the pyramid burst open with sparkling purple light.
Out stepped a tiny green creature with patchy clothes and stitches on his cheeks. He looked like a zombie from storybooks, but instead of being scary, he looked sleepy and confused.
"Hello?" Mia whispered, gathering her courage.
The little creature rubbed his eyes and smiled. "Hello! I'm Zimbie. I've been sleeping in that pyramid for three hundred years! Thank you for waking me up!"
Mia giggled. Zimbie wasn't scary at all — he was funny and friendly! His stitches were actually sparkly threads that glowed when he laughed.
"I was cursed by a grumpy wizard," Zimbie explained, "but I was told only a true friend's lightning would free me. And here you are!"
Mia's eyes widened. "The lightning woke you?"
"Not just any lightning — YOUR lightning," Zimbie said. "The lightning of kindness and curiosity. That's the most powerful magic in the world."
From that day on, Mia and Zimbie had amazing adventures. Zimbie could make little lightning bolts dance from his fingertips to light up dark places. He showed Mia how to build pyramid forts that glowed at midnight. They learned that sometimes things that seem scary at first are actually wonderful friends waiting to be discovered.
And whenever storms came, Mia and Zimbie would dance in the rain, collecting lightning in tiny glass jars to make magic lanterns that helped others find their way home.
Mia learned that true friends come in all shapes and sizes — even green ones with sparkly stitches. And the best magic of all? Kindness can wake up the most wonderful surprises.
