The Lightning Pyramid Quest

Felix the fox had the shiniest orange fur in the whole forest, but he was lonely. He watched from behind his favorite oak tree as the other animals played together.

One stormy evening, Felix spotted something enormous near the old maple tree. It was Barnaby the bear, curled into a giant fuzzy ball, fast asleep.

"Hello?" Felix whispered, creeping closer.

Barnaby opened one sleepy eye. "Oh, hello little friend. Are you scared of the storm?"

Felix nodded. Lightning flashed across the sky like silver rivers.

"Come sit by me," said the bear kindly. "I'll keep you safe."

For hours, they watched the storm together. Felix had never been so warm and cozy. When the sun rose, something magical sparkled in the meadow—a perfect golden pyramid, small as an acorn.

"What is it?" Felix gasped.

Barnaby gently picked it up. "It's a Lightning Pyramid. It appears only after the biggest storms. Legend says it grants one wish to true friends."

Felix's heart fluttered. "We're friends!"

"Yes," Barnaby smiled, "and we should wish together."

But Felix hesitated. He could wish for endless berries, or a beautiful den, or to be the fastest fox ever. Yet none of those wishes felt right.

"I wish," Felix said softly, "that every lonely animal finds a friend as kind as you."

The pyramid glowed bright gold, then dissolved into thousands of tiny butterflies that danced around them.

Barnaby wiped a tear from his furry cheek. "That was the wisest wish I've ever heard."

From that day on, Felix and Barnaby visited lonely animals everywhere. And the forest became full of new friendships—because the greatest treasure isn't what you find, but who you find it with.
