The Lightning Pyramid Pitch

Emma and Leo were playing catch in the backyard when the sky turned purple. They were practicing for the big baseball game tomorrow, but something strange was happening. Above the old oak tree, a magnificent glowing pyramid appeared in the clouds.

"What is that?" Emma asked, her eyes wide.

The pyramid shimmered like captured sunlight. Lightning bolts danced around it, forming perfect arcs of blue and gold. Emma gripped her baseball tight.

Suddenly, a tiny figure zoomed down from the pyramid - a glowing boy made entirely of lightning! He was running through the air, leaving sparks behind like glitter.

"I'm Zap!" the lightning boy said. "Our pyramid baseball team needs one more player. Will you help?"

Emma looked at Leo. "Should we?"

"Yes!" Leo said, grabbing his glove. "But I'm not very fast."

"That's okay!" Zap zoomed around them. "In the Pyramid League, the most important thing isn't running fast or hitting hard. It's playing with heart!"

They stepped into the glowing pyramid. Inside was the most amazing baseball field Emma had ever seen. The bases floated! The clouds formed the stands, filled with cheering lightning creatures.

Emma stepped up to bat. The pitcher - a friendly cloud girl - threw a ball that sparkled. Emma swung with all her might. Crack! The ball flew into the clouds and rained down as rainbow confetti.

"Home run!" everyone cheered.

When it was Leo's turn, he missed three times. But the fourth time, he didn't swing at all - he let the ball hit his glove gently, catching it perfectly.

"Sometimes the best move is patience," Zap said. "You didn't panic. You waited for the right moment."

The Pyramid League won the game! As a reward, Zap gave Emma a very special baseball. "Whenever you play with true friends, this ball will glow as bright as our pyramid."

Back in the yard, Emma and Leo looked at the ordinary baseball in their hands. It wasn't glowing - yet. But they knew tomorrow, during their game, they would play with something more important than magic. They would play with friendship in their hearts.

"Ready for tomorrow?" Leo asked.

"Ready," Emma said, and high-fived her best friend under the starry sky.
