The Lightning Pyramid
Ten-year-old Emma discovered something strange in her grandmother's attic. Buried under dusty quilts and old photograph albums sat a shiny black rectangle—her dad's old iPhone from years ago.
"Maybe it still works," Emma whispered, brushing away cobwebs.
That night, a thunderstorm raged outside Emma's window. Rain drummed against the glass while lightning flashed like camera flashes in the sky. Curious, Emma pressed the iPhone's button. Surprisingly, it glowed to life!
Suddenly, a brilliant bolt of lightning struck just outside. The iPhone screen flickered and displayed something magical—a glowing golden pyramid spinning slowly against a starry background.
Emma gasped. The pyramid seemed to pulse with light, matching the rhythm of the thunder. Without thinking, she touched the screen with her fingertip.
WHOOSH!
Emma's bedroom dissolved into golden sparkles. When the sparkles settled, she stood in a magnificent chamber inside a real pyramid! Hieroglyphics covered the walls, and in the center sat a young boy about her age, crying quietly.
"Hello?" Emma called softly. "I'm Emma."
The boy jumped. "I'm Amir. I've been trapped here for days! This pyramid is a magic portal between worlds, but I lost my way home."
Emma noticed the iPhone still in her hand, now showing a map with a glowing path. "I think this can help us!"
Together, Emma and Amir followed the magical path through pyramid passages filled with glowing crystals and whispering echoes. They solved riddles written on ancient walls and helped each other across narrow bridges over sparkling underground rivers.
"Friendship makes us braver," Amir said as they reached the final chamber.
A huge stone door stood before them. The iPhone projected a beam of light that unlocked it. Beyond lay Amir's village, safe and welcoming.
"Thank you, Emma!" Amir hugged her. "You'll always be welcome here."
Emma touched the iPhone one last time. WHOOSH! She returned to her bedroom, the storm now passed. The screen showed one final message: TRUE FRIENDSHIP UNLOCKS ALL DOORS.
Emma smiled, tucking the magical iPhone safely under her pillow. Sometimes the most wonderful adventures are just one lightning flash away.
