The Lightning Pyramid
Ten-year-old Maya loved running. She ran through meadows, around the playground, and across her backyard like the wind itself was her best friend. Every morning before school, she would take her orange vitamin and imagine it gave her special running powers.
One rainy afternoon, the sky turned dark purple. Maya watched from her window as lightning danced across the clouds like silver scribbles. Suddenly—a tremendous flash! A bolt of lightning struck the empty field behind her house.
When the rain stopped, Maya ran outside to investigate. There, in a patch of smoking grass, stood something impossible: a miniature crystal pyramid, no bigger than a shoebox, glowing with inner light.
The pyramid hummed with energy. Maya circled it slowly, her heart pounding. With trembling fingers, she touched its smooth surface. Suddenly, the pyramid popped open like a secret box!
Inside lay a single crystal tablet that looked just like a vitamin, except it pulsed with electricity. A voice echoed in her mind: *“This lightning vitamin will give you the speed of light. But remember—true power comes from helping others.”*
Maya swallowed the crystal vitamin. ZING! Her body tingled all over. Suddenly, she could run faster than ever before! She zoomed around her neighborhood in seconds, leaving trails of sparkling light.
Maya used her gift to help everyone. She found lost pets, returned dropped wallets, and even pushed a stalled car to the gas station—all before breakfast!
The lightning vitamin lasted only one magical day. But Maya didn't mind. She kept running every morning, taking her regular vitamin, and knowing that the real magic wasn't in lightning or pyramids or special powers.
The real magic was in her heart.
And sometimes, when she ran really fast, she could still feel a tiny spark—reminding her that kindness is the greatest superpower of all.
