The Lightning Pyramid
Emma loved watching storms from her window. One night, a flash of lightning revealed something strange in her backyard—a glowing golden pyramid that hadn't been there before.
Against her mom's warning, Emma slipped outside in her rainboots. As she approached, the pyramid's stone door rumbled open. Inside, torches flickered to life on their own.
"Who enters my sanctuary?" a voice echoed.
Emma froze. From the shadows emerged a sphinx with emerald eyes and wings like a sunset.
"I'm Emma," she whispered.
The sphinx smiled. "I am Seraphina. Welcome to the Temple of Courage."
Deeper in the pyramid, Emma met a magnificent golden bull named Blaze who breathed warm sparks instead of fire.
"We've been waiting for someone brave enough to find us," Blaze said gently.
Suddenly, a small teddy bear rolled from Emma's pocket—her comfort object from home. To her astonishment, the bear transformed into a real polar bear cub, glowing with starlight.
"This is the magic," Seraphina explained. "When you bring something you love into a place of courage, it becomes its truest self."
Emma realized she'd been brave coming alone, but braver still bringing her beloved bear. "Can I visit again?"
"Whenever lightning strikes," the sphinx promised. "But remember, Emma—true courage isn't having no fear. It's bringing what you love with you into the unknown."
The next morning, Emma's pyramid had vanished. But in her pocket, her teddy bear now had a tiny golden patch shaped like a lightning bolt.
Some things are real only when you believe in them with all your heart.
