The Lightning Pool Mystery

Lily loved exploring behind her house, especially on rainy days when the sky turned dark and mysterious. Today, she spotted something strange: a thick orange cable snaking through the tall grass, disappearing into the woods.

"What are you doing here?" she whispered, following the cable deeper into the forest.

The cable led to a hidden clearing where a sparkling blue pool glowed with an inner light. But the most amazing thing was the creature standing beside it—a tiny dragon with shimmering rainbow hair that crackled with electricity.

"Hello, young one," the dragon said. "I'm Sparkle, guardian of the Vitamin Pool. Every hundred years, lightning strikes this pool, filling it with magical vitamins that give special powers to those with pure hearts."

Lily's eyes grew wide. "Special powers?"

"Yes," Sparkle nodded. "But only if you share them with someone else. Magic that's kept to yourself fades away, but magic shared grows stronger."

Suddenly, the sky flashed. Lightning struck the pool, sending ripples of glowing light across the water. Little colorful orbs floated to the surface—magical vitamins in every color of the rainbow.

"Choose wisely," Sparkle said.

Lily thought of her best friend Noah, who had been feeling sad lately. "I wish for courage to help my friend feel brave again."

She swallowed a golden vitamin. Warmth spread through her, and when she returned home, she found Noah sitting alone.

"Come with me," she said, her hand glowing softly. "I want to show you something amazing."

Together, they returned to the pool, and Noah took a vitamin too. From that day on, whenever lightning flashed across the sky, Lily and Noah would feel their magic awaken—not for themselves, but to help others. And every time they used their powers to make someone smile, their rainbow hair would shimmer just like Sparkle's.

They learned the most important lesson of all: the real magic wasn't in the vitamins or the pool or even the lightning. The real magic was friendship, and sharing your gifts with others makes the world brighter for everyone.
