The Lightning Pool

Lily had the wildest **hair** in her whole class. It bounced and curled around her face like a cloud of golden springs. Her mom tried to tame it with ribbons and barrettes, but Lily's **hair** had a mind of its own—and Lily wouldn't have it any other way.

One rainy afternoon, Lily discovered something amazing behind her house. Hidden deep in the forest was a secret **pool**, its water glowing with an inner light even though the sky was dark with storm clouds. The rain fell gently, but the **pool** stayed perfectly calm, as if it were waiting for something special.

Curious, Lily knelt beside the magical water. Suddenly, a bolt of **lightning** flashed across the sky! But it didn't disappear like usual. Instead, the **lightning** danced down, down, down until it splashed right into the **pool**!

Lily gasped as the water sparkled and swirled with rainbows. A tiny glowing fish jumped out and landed right in her open **palm**. It wasn't a regular fish—it was made of pure light!

"I'm Flash!" the fish squeaked. "Thank you for catching me!"

Lily's eyes went wide. "You can talk?"

"Only to special friends," Flash said, his tiny fins wiggling. "I've been waiting a hundred years for someone with **hair** as wild and free as their spirit."

That's when Lily understood—her crazy **hair** wasn't messy. It was magical!

Every storm after that, Lily visited the **pool**. Flash taught her that **lightning** could create beautiful things, not just scary ones. She learned that being different was actually wonderful, and that true friends accept you exactly as you are.

Now whenever Lily sees storms, she doesn't hide. She smiles, knowing that somewhere, magic is just waiting to be discovered by someone brave enough to believe in it.
