The Lightning Padel's Secret

Lily loved visiting her grandmother's house, especially on rainy afternoons. Grandma had a mysterious old tennis racquet she called her 'lightning padel'—though Lily had never seen it used for tennis.

One stormy evening, Lily peeked through the curtains as lightning crackled across the dark sky. To her surprise, she saw Grandma standing in the garden, holding the old padel toward the clouds.

"Grandma!" Lily called, rushing outside. "You'll get hit by lightning!"

Grandma smiled mysteriously. "This padel catches lightning dreams, child. Watch." She tapped the padel against an old stone behind the house, and suddenly a hidden door swung open, revealing a shimmering underground pool.

The water glowed with captured lightning—gentle golden streaks that danced beneath the surface like liquid stars.

"Come meet my old friend," Grandma said, and from the pool emerged a small glowing creature made entirely of soft lightning. It was a Sparkle-Frog, tiny and friendly.

Lily reached out slowly, and the Sparkle-Frog hopped onto her palm, warming her like sunshine. "You're my friend now," Lily whispered, feeling its gentle buzz of happiness.

The frog showed them something amazing—it could paint pictures on the pool's surface using lightning strokes. It drew flowers, butterflies, and even Grandma's smiling face.

"Every storm brings magic," Grandma explained, "if you have the courage to see it."

Lily learned that day that scary things—like storms—could hide the most beautiful surprises. And sometimes, all you needed was a brave heart, a magical padel, and a new friend to discover them.

Now whenever lightning flashed, Lily would grab the old padel and run to the hidden pool, where her lightning friend waited to paint new dreams across the water, turning every storm into an adventure.
