The Lightning Padel's Magic
Mia loved summer storms. She would press her nose against the window, watching the sky light up with brilliant flashes of lightning. But tonight was different—tonight, something magical was about to happen.
As the first bolt of lightning crackled across the dark sky, a golden glow appeared in Mia's backyard. Curious, she tiptoed outside in her rainboots. There, floating above the grass, was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen—a shimmering padel, glowing with the same light as the lightning bolts above.
Mia reached out, and the padel floated into her hand. It was warm and tingly, like holding a piece of a star!
"Swing me," whispered the padel, and Mia gasped—it could talk!
She gave the padel a gentle swing, and suddenly—WOOSH!—Mia lifted off the ground, swimming through the air as if it were water. Up she flew, higher and higher, dancing through the raindrops beside the lightning bolts.
"This is amazing!" Mia laughed, doing somersaults in the sky.
But then she heard a tiny meow. Looking down, she spotted a kitten stuck on a high branch, frightened by the storm.
Mia knew what she had to do. "Don't worry, little one!" she called. Using her magical padel like a paddle, she swam through the air to the tree and carefully scooped up the kitten.
As she carried the kitten safely to the ground, the padel whispered, "True magic isn't just about flying—it's about helping others."
Mia landed softly, the kitten purring in her arms. The storm passed, and the magical padel faded into sparkles, but Mia didn't mind. She had made a new friend and learned something wonderful: real magic is kindness in action.
And sometimes, she still thinks about swimming through the stormy sky—and smiles.
