The Lightning Padel Match
Oliver loved playing padel more than anything in the world. But today, standing at the edge of the court, he felt very small. The other children were so tall and fast, and Oliver was just... Oliver.
"Hey Oliver!" called big Jake. "Want to join our game?"
Oliver's heart said yes, but his feet felt stuck. That's when something magical happened.
A storm was brewing above. Dark clouds swirled like giant grey spoonfuls of chocolate ice cream. Suddenly, a tiny bolt of lightning zipped down—not scary and mean, but quick and bright, like a smile made of light.
The lightning danced around the padel court and then—ZIP!—it dropped something small and orange right into Oliver's hand.
It looked just like his morning vitamin, except this one glowed with a soft golden light. A tiny voice whispered in Oliver's ear, "This is the Courage Vitamin. It only works when you truly believe in yourself."
Oliver looked at the glowing vitamin. He looked at the padel court where the other children were waiting. His heart wanted to play so much.
He swallowed the vitamin in one gulp.
WHOOSH!
Golden sparkles filled Oliver's whole body. But something magical happened—he didn't become taller or faster. Instead, his padel racket began to glow! When he swung it, little golden butterflies trailed behind it.
"Wow!" the children gasped.
Oliver stepped onto the court. The magical racket guided his hands, helping him hit every ball perfectly. But more importantly, Oliver felt something growing inside him—confidence!
With each hit, he laughed. With each point, he smiled bigger. The other children weren't scary anymore. They were friends!
"You're amazing, Oliver!" shouted Jake, giving him a high-five.
Oliver realized something wonderful: the magic vitamin hadn't made him a better player. It had helped him believe he was already good enough. And that, he discovered, was the real magic all along.
That night, Oliver drifted to sleep with a smile. Somewhere in his dreams, a tiny lightning bolt winked, proud of the brave boy who had learned that courage comes from within, and that sometimes, the best magic is believing in yourself.
