The Lightning Orange's Magic

Mia loved storms. When thunder rumbled like a giant's tummy, she pressed her nose against the window, watching. But tonight, the sky was special.

*FLASH!* Lightning danced across the clouds in bright orange streaks—Mia's favorite color! She wished she could catch some of that magic lightning in a jar.

The next morning, Mia's grandmother handed her something interesting. "Take your vitamin, sweetie. It'll give you energy for our adventure today!" It was a bright orange vitamin, shaped like a little star.

Mia swallowed it, then grabbed her favorite orange from the fruit bowl. It was the roundest, perfectest orange she'd ever seen, with skin like tiny freckles.

That afternoon, while playing in the garden, Mia saw something amazing. Her orange started to wiggle. Then it wobbled. Then—*BUMP!*—it stood up on two little imaginary legs!

"Are you... are you a zombie orange?" Mia whispered, eyes wide.

The orange nodded yes! It did a funny little dance, arms waving, and made a squeaky orange-peel sound that sounded like laughter. Mia laughed too. This wasn't scary at all—it was WONDERFUL!

"I'll call you Sunny!" Mia declared.

Sunny the zombie orange could roll super fast, balance on Mia's head, and even do cartwheels! Together they had the best adventure ever. Mia would point, and Sunny would roll-race her there. Mia would dance, and Sunny would wiggle along.

Grandmother watched them play and smiled. "The magic lightning from last night must have given that orange special powers," she said. "And your vitamin gave you the energy to see the magic!"

That night, Mia understood something important: the best magic isn't lightning from the sky or zombie-dancing oranges—it's having a friend who makes every day an adventure.

Sunny snoozed on Mia's nightstand, his orange skin glowing softly in the moonlight, waiting for tomorrow's adventure to begin.
