The Lightning Keeper
Felix was a small red fox with the biggest ears in the forest. Every night, he would sit at the edge of the sandy beach, watching the tropical palm trees sway in the warm breeze. But Felix had a secret wish.
One stormy evening, as dark clouds gathered over the ocean, Felix saw something incredible. A bolt of lightning shot down from the sky and struck the tallest palm tree on the beach. But instead of burning it, the lightning made the palm tree glow with a soft golden light!
Curious and brave, Felix crept closer. The palm tree's coconuts were shimmering like tiny stars. "Hello, little friend," whispered the tree, its voice like rustling leaves. "I've been waiting for someone special to help me."
Felix's tail twitched with excitement. "Me? But I'm just a small fox!"
"That's exactly why," said the palm tree. "Every night, lightning brings me magic seeds that can light up the darkest places. But I need someone to carry them to the forest animals who are afraid of the dark. Will you help?"
Felix nodded eagerly. The palm tree lowered a glowing coconut into his paws. It pulsed with warmth and light, like holding a piece of the sun.
That night, Felix carried his lightning seed through the dark forest. He found a family of rabbits huddled in fear, and left a tiny piece of the light for them. He visited a lonely owl who couldn't see in the dark, and shared some of the glowing magic. He even helped a lost fawn find its way back to its mother.
By dawn, Felix had given away all the light, but his heart felt fuller than ever. The palm tree was right—even the smallest fox could make the biggest difference.
Now every stormy night, Felix the Lightning Keeper sits by his palm tree friend, collecting magic seeds to light up the darkness. Because sometimes the most wonderful magic comes from helping others shine.
