The Lightning Goldfish Wonder

Emma loved baseball more than anything. Every afternoon, she'd grab her favorite bat and head to the backyard field. But today, something magical happened.

As Emma swung her bat, a sudden storm brewed. Lightning flashed across the sky in brilliant purple streaks. Emma ran toward the old pond behind the dugout for cover.

There, swimming in the muddy water, was the most beautiful goldfish she'd ever seen. Its scales sparkled like tiny rainbows, and it seemed to glow from within.

"Hello, little friend," Emma whispered, kneeling by the water's edge.

To her amazement, the goldfish spoke! "I'm Finnegan, and I need your help. The lightning storm has trapped my family's magic in these clouds. Only someone with a kind heart and a strong swing can free them!"

Emma's eyes widened. "What should I do?"

"Take your baseball bat," Finnegan instructed, "and when the next lightning bolt strikes, swing at it with all your courage. The magic will know what to do."

Thunder rumbled overhead. Emma gripped her bat tight. Her knees trembled, but she thought of Finnegan's family waiting to be freed. She took a deep breath and watched the sky.

CRACK! A golden lightning bolt shot down. Emma swung her bat with perfect timing, just like she'd practiced a thousand times.

PING! The bat connected with the lightning, and suddenly, dozens of golden fish leaped from the clouds, swimming through the air as if it were water. They circled around Emma, leaving trails of sparkles.

Finnegan jumped with joy. "You did it! Thank you, Emma! Your courage gave us back our freedom!"

The magical fish filled the sky with dancing colors brighter than any rainbow. Then Finnegan pressed something into Emma's palm—a tiny glowing vitamin.

"This is no ordinary vitamin," Finnegan explained. "Take it whenever you need courage. Remember, bravery isn't about not being scared. It's about doing what's right even when you ARE scared."

Emma watched in wonder as Finnegan and his family swam up into the clouds, disappearing into the stars.

From that day on, Emma played baseball with even more confidence. She kept the magic vitamin safe, knowing the real magic was inside her all along. And sometimes, when lightning crossed the sky, she'd wave her bat, just in case some magical fish needed a friend.
