The Lightning Goldfish's Magical Game
Emma was running through the park, her heart racing with excitement. Today was the big baseball game, and she couldn't wait to play with her friends. The sun was shining bright, but suddenly the sky turned dark gray, and streaks of lightning flashed across the clouds.
"This can't be happening!" Emma cried. Her baseball game was going to be ruined!
Just then, she spotted something glowing in the park pond. A tiny goldfish was swimming near the surface, its scales shimmering like the lightning bolts above. Emma knelt down, and to her surprise, the goldfish spoke!
"Emma," the goldfish said in a voice like chimes, "I am Finnegan, the lightning fish. I can help you save your baseball game, but you must promise me something in return."
"Anything!" Emma promised.
Finnegan flicked his golden tail, and a small orange vitamin tablet appeared on the grass beside her. "This is a courage vitamin," he explained. "Whoever takes it will never give up, no matter how hard things get. But you must share it with someone who truly needs it."
Emma nodded and took the vitamin. A warm, tingling feeling spread through her body. She felt strong, brave, and ready for anything.
Finnegan did a magical flip in the water, and all the lightning in the sky suddenly turned into golden baseballs that rained down gently onto the field. The storm clouds vanished, and the sun burst through brighter than before.
"Wow!" Emma's friends shouted as they ran onto the field. The magical baseballs made everyone play their best game ever. They ran faster, hit farther, and laughed more than they ever had before.
After the game, Emma found Finnegan in the pond. "I kept my promise," she said. "I shared the courage with my friend Lily, who was afraid to play. She hit a home run!"
Finnegan smiled his fishy smile. "True magic isn't just about winning games, Emma. It's about helping others find their courage too."
From that day on, Emma never forgot the lesson of the lightning goldfish. Whenever she saw someone struggling, she would share her courage and kindness, just like Finnegan had taught her. And sometimes, if she looked closely at the pond during a storm, she could still see Finnegan's golden scales glowing in the water.
